The Goal

Filling the spacious living room of an apartment in a historic building constructed in 1905 with first-class sound was a particularly honourable task for us.

The driving force behind the entire project was the desire of loving parents to provide their child with a comprehensive musical education using the best possible means.

The client had no doubts from the outset about choosing a piano for music lessons. It had to be one of the instruments from the world's best manufacturer of grand and upright pianos, Steinway & Sons. Unable to evaluate the musical instrument directly, the client was guided by a simple rule in life: ‘If you are afraid of making a mistake, buy the best.’

The Solution

Thus, at the centre of the composition is a magnificent Steinway & Sons Model S grand piano from the anniversary series dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the founding of the famous musical instrument manufacturer, which to this day sets global standards in sound quality.

The composition was to be complemented by a stereo system, the purpose of which was not only to create a pleasant musical atmosphere in the living room, but also to provide exemplary reproduction of recordings of musical compositions performed by the world's best pianists for the novice musician.

Ironically, the customer had no idea that, in addition to musical instruments, Steinway & Sons had been producing equally magnificent and uncompromising audio systems since 2007, matching the famous Steinway & Sons grand pianos.

After the presentation, having discovered the quality and beauty of the sound produced by Steinway Lyngdorf audio systems, the customer chose the Steinway & Sons Model O stereo system. As one of the most compact systems available, the Model O was ideal for installation close to a wall in a space-constrained environment.

Flawless appearance

To accommodate the ‘heart’ of the music system, the electronics, we had to design a stand-cabinet taking into account all the technical parameters and style of the room, and master cabinetmakers skilfully brought our vision to life.

The impeccable appearance, graceful lines and noble shine of the grand piano were complemented by the austere silhouettes of the loudspeaker columns in the background, like court nobles proudly accompanying the royal person with whom they are bound by blood ties. The entire composition created an impression of harmony, evoking admiration.

The incomparable sound of the grand piano and audio system only reinforced this impression, leaving a feeling of mutual gratitude and deep satisfaction with the result achieved.
