OTHER CORE BRAND TECHNOLOGIESThe IW-66 has a unique focusing array tweeter principle (FAT), consisting of three Air Motion Transformer tweeters, two of them angled. This leads to an even vertical sound dispersion angle on axis, achieving a linear frequency response and the same relative sound level in all rows, even with elevated tiers.
With six midrange drivers and three AMT tweeters, the IW-66 reaches a very high sound pressure level (120 dB) with great dynamic headroom, high sensitivity, and excellent power handling. This makes the IW-66 suitable for large high performance home theatres.
The IW-66 is a very rigid construction, where the enclosures for the midrange drivers are internally braced and separated from the tweeters. The construction minimizes mechanical resonance and sound colouration even when playing at maximum volume level. The overall cabinet design is very shallow, which makes it easy to install.
