Conventional systems require a D/A converter, a preamplifier, a DSP/equalizer, and a power amplifier. This long signal path contains sound-degrading interfaces including signal conversion and attenuation and creates huge potential for noise induction.
Enter Steinway & Sons’ SP-1, with true digital processing. Combined with the A1 or A2 fully digital amplifier, the SP-1 stereo sound processor is totally noise immune. All the traditional devices in the signal path are replaced by one sound processor and fully digital amplifiers. The result is precise control, without noise, at any sound levels.
Steinway Lyngdorf keeps a tight rein on signal processing. The Steinway Lyngdorf Digital Link is a proprietary encrypted high-resolution connection for audio as well as control signals. Digital Link maintains full resolution of the new high definition audio standards throughout the entire audio system.
Unlike most other digital connections, the Steinway Lyngdorf Digital Link keeps the high definition audio stream fully in the digital domain through network cables. The cross-component Digital Link solution protects and transfers razor-sharp dynamics and realism you never imagined.
The SP-1 is equipped with proprietary RoomPerfect™ room-correction software, the world’s most sophisticated technology for adapting the sound system to the environment. With RoomPerfect™, SP-1 delivers a perfect surround sound experience without the need for extensive room treatment.
The SP-1 can be controlled on the front, with the included remote control, or with the optional iconic Steinway & Sons Remote Control.
