Smart home automation

It used to be called a ‘smart home.’ Now, with the rapid development of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, this phrase has taken on a special meaning. Unfortunately or fortunately, things or programs cannot think for themselves. Behind all this is the human mind. Any object or technology is only as good as the people who designed and made it.

Smart Home

The concept of a ‘smart home’ first appeared in the 1970s. It can be defined as a combination of architectural and design solutions interconnected with automated engineering and information systems, as well as security systems that provide a comfortable and safe environment for the home's residents.

The home automation system is designed primarily to save energy by automatically turning off unused electrical appliances, regulating energy consumption in the heating system depending on the time of day and outside temperature, and keeping statistics that users can use to adjust their energy needs.

Modern homes are full of electrical appliances, and every year there are more and more of them. Security and fire alarms, complex lighting, heating, air conditioning, power supply systems, home cinema, and multi-room systems have all become an integral part of our lives and a standard of comfort and safety, a symbol of high style and quality of life. At the same time, the large number of systems in the home and their complexity make monitoring difficult, and control requires a high level of expertise and takes a lot of time. On the other hand, the imbalance of systems and the inability to control them effectively leads to increased costs and reduces the comfort and enjoyment of using them.

Ultimately, we conclude that the best home automation system is one that works smoothly, performs its functions efficiently and on demand, or, conversely, does its job unobtrusively, a system whose existence we forget about for a long time. Our systems work exactly like this because they are thoroughly thought out down to the smallest detail and tested on ourselves. That is why we prefer the term ‘smart home automation’.

Comfort

which is provided by the ability to control all devices (household appliances, lighting, multimedia systems) from a central touch panel, remote controls, control buttons, computer or mobile devices.

Safety

provided by alarm and technical signalling devices as part of a single system. A home automation system can, for example, detect gas or water leaks and automatically shut off their supply.

Flexibility

provided by the ease of expanding the system, for example by adding new control devices.

Automation process

The process of automating your home may seem complicated and labour-intensive. Control4, the leader in home automation in the United States, simplifies this process as much as possible by offering solutions that can fit any budget and meet the needs of any family. You can choose from a variety of options. Even if you're not entirely sure what you want from your system, Control4 offers the option to start small and expand your system over time.

Have you finally decided to automate your home or workplace? It all starts with a project. A comprehensive, well-designed project takes into account the customer's wishes (defining the main goals and objectives, as well as their preferences), the characteristics of the premises and ensures the Smart Home System is installed and commissioned to a high standard.
