The 2-channel A1 utilizes fully digital amplification. This means that nothing gets between you and your sound. Without sound-deteriorating digital-to-analog conversions, the digital signal drives the speakers directly, with no translation and no middleman.
Steinway Lyngdorf keeps a tight rein on signal processing. The Steinway Lyngdorf Digital Link is a proprietary encrypted high-resolution connection for audio as well as control signals. Digital Link maintains full resolution of the new high definition audio standards throughout the entire audio system.
Unlike most other digital connections, the Steinway Lyngdorf Digital Link keeps the high definition audio stream fully in the digital domain through network cables. The cross-component Digital Link solution protects and transfers razor-sharp dynamics and realism you never imagined.
Together with A2, A1 do the heavy lifting for every stereo and surround sound system in the Steinway Lyngdorf line.
